Options and prices

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander, which most dealers currently offer, lacks a new body. But, as advertisements and photos from various Internet resources show, copies of the crossover arrived in Russia in a completely different design. Moreover, the difference between the two versions of the Japanese model lies not only in trim levels and prices, but in technical characteristics. It should be taken into account that the Outlander imported into Russia as part of parallel import is not covered by the factory warranty: all issues related to its repair are resolved only by dealers.

Invite

The basic all-wheel drive version of the Japanese model is simple in design: it provides only a minimal set of options. In particular, when purchasing the initial modification you can count on:

  • electrically controlled power steering;
  • aluminum wheel rims with a diameter of 16 inches;
  • manual parking brake;
  • head optics with halogen lights;
  • LED taillights;
  • light and rain sensors;
  • rear-view mirrors with turn signal repeaters, electrical heating and servo drive;
  • full-size spare tire;
  • multifunction steering wheel with leather trim and adjustments in two directions;
  • fabric seats;
  • front seats with lumbar support.

The front row of seats in the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander comes standard with electric heating. A similar access option is available for the windshield. The initial version includes 4 electric windows, central locking, 2 airbags, anti-lock brakes, slip warning, hill assist and speed control. Also, by default, with the Japanese model you can purchase a stereo system and climate control equipment. For an extra charge, the crossover offers a more advanced all-wheel drive system.

Intense+

The Japanese model in this version has front-wheel drive. Compared to the basic package, Intense+ offers a little more options:

  • 18-inch wheels;
  • front fog lights;
  • glass tinting;
  • roof rails;
  • keyless engine start and access to the interior;
  • 7 airbags, including knee airbags;
  • two-zone climate;
  • media system with 8-inch touchscreen;
  • navigation;
  • parking camera.

It is noteworthy that this version uses a manual parking brake, while, like the others, it has an electric one. And the front seats lack lumbar support.

Instyle

The next all-wheel drive Outlander trim adds a rear spoiler, faux leather seats, and a power driver’s seat. Otherwise, this version is no different from Intense+. Even the chrome trim on the body remained the same.

Instyle Black Edition

This is one of the latest modifications that appeared on the Russian market. The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander in this version stands out with its black accents that adorn the body. But the Japanese company did not make any other changes when preparing this version. In fact, the Black Edition modification is one of the limited editions that are released shortly before the car is updated.

Ultimate

This is the only trim level that comes with a 167-horsepower engine that can only be combined with all-wheel drive. But in addition to the new engine, this version offers an interior mirror with an automatic dimming function, side and front view cameras, parking sensors, collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring systems, an electric tailgate drive, LED fog lights and headlights. At the same time, the Japanese crossover in this version is deprived of navigation.

Specifications

Due to the fact that the Outlander supplied to Russia as part of parallel import may have different technical parts (depending on the country from which the crossover is imported), it makes sense to consider only the official version. The Japanese model in this version is available exclusively with a CVT and two types of all-wheel drive. The first transmission option involves connecting the rear axle to increase cross-country ability. But the second all-wheel drive is more efficient.

It is combined with an active front differential, as well as brake control and torque control systems. Therefore, a crossover with such all-wheel drive copes better with off-road conditions, avoiding skidding even when driving at high speed. That is, the driver can control the behavior of the car.

By default, the Japanese model comes with a 2-liter naturally aspirated engine, the maximum output of which reaches 146 hp. with a traction torque of 196 N*m. The average fuel consumption of the crossover in this version reaches 7.7 liters (we are talking about the declared efficiency), and acceleration to the first 100 km/h takes 12 seconds. In more expensive versions, another naturally aspirated unit with a volume of 2.4 liters appears. Its maximum power does not exceed 167 hp, traction torque – 222 N*m. This unit provides acceleration to “hundreds” in 10.5 seconds and consumes up to 7.8 liters. Both engines are combined with an electronic valve timing control system. The dimensions of the Japanese model are 4695x1810x1680 mm, the distance between the wheel axles is 2670 mm, and the ground clearance is 220 mm.
