Luggage compartment
The trunk of this car is not very large in size and height due to the sloping roof, but its standard volume is enough to transport ordinary luggage needed for traveling or going to the country (several suitcases or travel bags).
With the backrests of the rear sofa folded, divided in a ratio of 60 to 40, the capacity of the cargo compartment increases to a very impressive size (1678 liters); the seats fold mechanically using buttons located on the side trims of the luggage compartment.
The trunk lid is equipped with a servo drive and opens both using a remote control and a button hidden in the rear wiper mechanism.
But the angle of its raising is not too large, and people taller than 175-180 cm can touch the door with their heads if they move carelessly.
There are no handles on the inside; there are only buttons for opening and locking the rear door.
The underground in the cargo compartment consists of two compartments (a large one for a small spare tire and tools, a small one for placing the removed luggage curtain and various small items), although the false panel itself has three folding segments.
The interior of the trunk is dominated by soft fleecy material, but the door is lined with hard plastic.
There are backlights on both sides, there is also a 12-volt socket on the left, and there are four hooks in different corners for securing loads.
List of equipment, basic equipment
For Russian buyers in September 2021, the Genesis GV70 model is offered in 9 modifications, five trim levels are available:
- Elegance;
- Advance;
- Supreme;
- Sport;
- Ultimate.
Elegance
The basic version of “Elegance” is represented by 2.2D (diesel) and 2.5 T-GDI engines at a recommended price of 4.15 and 4.2 million rubles, respectively.
The standard set of equipment includes options:
- 10 airbags: central front, front, curtain, side 4 pcs. for both rows of seats, for the driver’s knees;
- LED optics: headlights, taillights, DRLs, side lights, additional brake light;
- rain/light sensors;
- systems: Era-Glonass, ABS, ESC, HAC, TMPS;
- drive mode selector Drive Mode;
- 2-zone climate control;
- Cruise control;
- paddle shifters for controlling the automatic transmission;
- heating: steering wheel, front seats (three-stage), side mirrors;
- electric windows on 4 doors, all with safe mode and closers;
- electric drives: tailgate, front seats (8 directions), lumbar support on the driver’s seat (4, for example), folding side mirrors;
- rear view camera with front/rear parking sensors;
- push-button engine start;
- self-dimming interior mirror;
- multimedia system with a large 14.5-inch screen, nine speakers, AppleCarplay/AndroidAuto, Bluetooth, navigation, two USB connectors (two more USB ports are provided for rear passengers);
- alloy wheels R19;
- 12-volt power outlet in center console.
Already in the basic configuration, the Korean premium crossover is equipped with an 8-inch Supervision display of the instrument cluster, seat upholstery made of artificial leather, and interior glazing provides improved sound insulation.
The standard spare wheel is a small-size stowage one, the exterior mirrors and bumpers are painted in body color, the interior lighting and the glove compartment are illuminated using LED lamps.
The hood has gas struts and soundproofing material, and there are mud flaps on all wheels.
Advance package
The next most powerful version of Advance, like the basic Elegance, is offered to buyers with diesel (from 4,250,000 rubles) and gasoline internal combustion engines (from 4,500,000 rubles), it is supplemented with:
- electric steering column;
- ventilated front and heated rear seats;
- wireless charging of smartphones;
- curtains on the windows of the rear side doors (raised and lowered manually).
Memory for settings of the driver’s seat and side mirrors is also added, and the rear view camera is replaced by a surround-view camera with blind spot monitoring.
Among the features here, it should be noted the presence of aluminum inserts in the interior, electrical adjustment of lateral support and lumbar support (2 directions), changes in the length of the driver’s seat cushion.
The “Advance” package receives original interior lighting, seat upholstery in natural leather, and the interior door trims, dashboard and front armrest are trimmed with artificial leather material.
Genesis GV70 Advance is equipped with a DVR with front and rear cameras, a navigation system with improved AR-Navi graphics.
Also available for these modifications are the Sport 1 (RUB 300,000) and Smart Sense (RUB 250,000) packages.
Supreme package
The Supreme package is also presented in two modifications: 2.2D (from 4.95 million rubles) and 2.5 T-GDI (from five million rubles).
It differs from less expensive versions in Michelin 255/40R21 tires on alloy wheels with an original design, three-zone climate control, an on-board computer with a 12.3” screen, and a premium Lexicon audio system with eighteen speakers.
In addition to all available equipment, the following options are added here:
- head-up display on the windshield;
- lane keeping assistant;
- automatic valet parking RSPA;
- lighting of interior inserts;
- intelligent automatic speed limiter ISLA;
- auto switching from high to low beam;
- systems: automatic braking, including when reversing, collision avoidance.
Reinforced glazing in the Supreme provides even better sound insulation, and adaptive cruise control is installed.
Among the optional equipment, the Sport 2 (RUB 300,000) and Advanced Smart Sense (RUB 250,000) packages are available for an additional fee.
Sport package
The next most “charged” version, “Sport” (from 5.85 million rubles), is presented only in a single modification with a powerful 3.5-liter engine.
Externally, it differs from other trim levels in its sporty-style trim and black chrome elements, namely:
- more aggressive bumpers;
- roof rails;
- round ends of exhaust system pipes instead of ovals in the standard version;
- door moldings;
- darkened R21 alloy wheels with an original pattern;
- tinted rear windows.
There are also some features in the interior: a three-spoke steering wheel, metal pedals, backlit G-Matrix Sport inserts.
The car is equipped with sports front seats, with all seats upholstered in a combination material (suede/nappa leather).
The suspension is electronically controlled, with the help of which the stiffness of the shock absorbers can be changed, and an electrically controlled rear differential with increased resistance to friction is installed.
There is also a panoramic roof with an electric sunroof.
Ultimate package
The top-end crossover GV70 Ultimate is available for sale in the Russian Federation in 2 modifications: with gasoline engines 2.5 T-GDI (5,600,000 rubles) and 3.5 T-GDI (6,150,000 rubles).
The version is distinguished by carbon fiber inserts in the interior and a different nappa leather seat trim.
In addition to all the options in this version, the following systems have been added:
- automatic braking at intersections (FCA JX);
- frontal collision avoidance when maneuvering in automatic mode (FCA w/ESA);
- Forward Collision Avoidance when changing lanes (FCA-LS)
- automatic evasion of oncoming vehicles when changing lanes (FCA-LO).
The Ultimate package is also equipped with rear seat ventilation and a driver profile activation function implemented using a sensor capable of recognizing a person by fingerprint.
The headlights are complemented by IFS mode, which “smartly” controls the high beam, preventing dazzling effects.
SCC-ML cruise control with machine learning is used, that is, customizable for different driving styles.
It is also worth noting that the GV70 is the first model of this brand to support Genesis telematics services, which allows you to stay in touch with the car using mobile devices and receive various notifications in a timely manner.
For example, the driver may have access to information about the state of the vehicle, unlocked doors, alarm activation, and so on; images from cameras can be viewed through the application.
Remote control is also implemented not only for the central locking and engine start, but also for raising/lowering the door windows, turning on the heated steering wheel, ventilated/heated seats, etc.
