Specifications

The manufacturer built the fifth generation of the SUV based on the TNGA architecture. It made it possible to increase the dimensions of the car and also make it more comfortable. Thus, Toyota specialists were able to improve the rear suspension settings, and also provided the crossover with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD system, capable of transmitting up to 50% of the generated torque to the rear axle.

In Russia, the Japanese cross is offered with two variants of power plants with a volume of 2 and 2.5 liters. Both engines are naturally aspirated and do not have a supercharger. Paired with the “junior” engine, whose performance is equal to 149 “horses,” a CVT or manual transmission is offered. The drive here can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The second petrol engine option is a 2.5-liter unit, the output of which is 199 hp. It only has all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. Depending on the version of the power unit and transmission, the Japanese flagship is capable of accelerating to a speed of 100 km/h in 8.5-11 seconds. At the same time, the average fuel consumption is 6.4-7.2 liters.

In terms of its dimensions, the cross is medium-sized. The length of the car body is 4600 mm, and the width and height are 1850 and 1685 mm, respectively. The updated model received an interaxle distance of 2650 mm, and the SUV’s ground clearance reaches 195 mm. The trunk of the car can hold about 580 liters of cargo at a minimum, and the fuel tank of the Toyota RAV4 can fill up to 55 liters of gasoline.
