Modifications and options in Russia
The buyer of the new 2020 Lexus RX model will be offered four configuration options:
- Executive. This package is the starting package in the updated list, since the previous one – Standard – was abolished due to lack of demand. - Luxury. The “top” level of the premium Japanese crossover is the presence of all-round cameras, a projection screen, a panoramic roof, more comfortable seats and a complex of Lexus Safety System+ electronic assistants.
The price range for SUVs according to these packages is 3.39-5.09 million rubles.
Technical stuffing
The Lexus RX 350 has many impressive technical features. They deserve the attention of car enthusiasts with different driving experience and experience. The main characteristics are:

Hybrid
The most expensive Lexus RX in Russia, worth 5.57 million, is offered in a hybrid version – RX 450h AWD, the version comes with the Luxury equipment package by default.
This RX receives not only a 3.5-liter gasoline engine, but also two electric units: front – 123 kW, rear – 50 kW.
The total power of the hybrid system is 313 hp. With. or 230 kW, and acceleration to “hundreds” for such a crossover takes 7.7 seconds. The role of the transmission on the hybrid is given to an automatic continuously variable “box” with electrical control, and the proprietary Japanese E-FOUR system, well known to Lexus fans, is responsible for all-wheel drive.
Lexus RX performance
All RX 350 models are powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 engine. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It develops 295 horsepower. Three-row Lexus RX 350L models share the same engine but are limited to 290 horsepower. The eight-speed automatic transmission is smooth.
A hybrid version of the RX is also available – the RX 450h. It pairs the RX 350’s V6 engine with an electric motor to produce 308 horsepower. For the RX 450, it is recommended to use 95 octane gasoline or higher.
A stretched version of the 450h, the RX 450hL, uses the same engine tune but gets just 259 horsepower from the gasoline engine. However, it produces 165 horsepower from an electric motor that works in tandem with a 37-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The powertrains of both models are equipped with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Each RX Hybrid model has a single motor that helps drive the front wheels, while all-wheel drive variants (RX 450h and RX450hL are available with all-wheel drive only) get another motor at the rear axle to drive those wheels and increase power by 67 horsepower. to the car. The third electric motor acts as a generator, engine starter and transmission control device.
RX is not an athlete. Most models take 7.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h. The RX 450hL will take a little longer. However, drivers will rarely be left wanting more power, especially after the performance boost the RX received this model year.
The 2020 Lexus RX 350 consumes an average of 10.5 liters of gasoline per 100 km. The RX 350L and RX 350 AWD get 10.7 liters. The heavier RX 350L AWD is 11.2 liters.
Fuel economy is a strong point of the hybrid model. The all-wheel drive Lexus RX 450h consumes 7.8 liters combined, making it the most economical model. The RX 450hL is not far behind and consumes 8.1 liters.
RX F Sport models with the Handling Package receive a standard Adaptive Variable Suspension and 20-inch wheels that are designed to enhance the vehicle’s agility. Also available are Active Sound Control, electric power steering and a heated steering wheel.
Drivers can switch their accelerator to different modes. Normal, Eco and Sport – standard modes. Hybrid RX also have EV mode, which allows you to travel short distances without harmful emissions. Opting for the F Sport package gives drivers the opportunity to choose Sport S+ mode, which activates a firmer suspension setting. Customization is also possible for F Sport owners.
Based on testing, the RX 350 F Sport delivers the driving experience Lexus owners are accustomed to. Throttle response and gear changes are smooth. Thanks to available all-wheel drive, the SUV keeps its four wheels glued to the ground in most driving situations. But without the torque vectoring technology available on the eligible Toyota Highlander, the RX struggles in the snow, especially when equipped with its standard low-resistance tires.
On highways and dry roads, the RX proves easy to maneuver, providing a comfortable ride. The vehicle’s insulation and design ensure a quiet interior. Braking is smooth and quite strong.
Specifications
When purchasing a 2020 Lexus 350 RX, drivers pay special attention to the technical parameters of the car. Development engineers paid special attention to their update. Now we can highlight the following features:
